The National Youth Film Awards (NYFA) is back for its sophomore edition on the back of a very well-received inaugural season which saw more than 238 submissions from 14 Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs).
NYFA aims to establish a benchmark in national excellence and talent identification between the film industry and IHLs offering film-related and animation courses.
The competition will be assessed by a Jury made up of well-known names in the media industry. Various awards will be presented to the winners at the Award Ceremony on Saturday, 23 July 2016. Some of the awards up for grabs include Best Cinematography, Best Sound Design, Best Documentary, and Best Animated Film.
Workshops and screenings will also be held for youths who are interested in the film industry and want to expand their knowledge about filmmaking.
