The Grant for Good supports youth-led initiatives that spark community spirit, activate public spaces, and bring fresh, meaningful experiences to the area. Whether it’s a public art piece, a community event, or a digital project rooted in the precinct, this grant helps you make it happen.
Grant for Good offers up to $1,000 per project to support creative and impactful youth-led ideas that take place within the Somerset Belt. Your project should:
- Take place in Somerset Belt (e.g. *SCAPE, Youth Park, Skate Park)
- Be youth-led (aged 15 to 35)
- Involve and benefit the community
- Be completed within six months of approval
Who Can Apply?
- Youths aged 15 to 35
- Singaporean individuals or groups (at least one member must be Singaporean)
- No prior experience needed—just a clear idea and a commitment to deliver
What Kind of Projects?
We’re looking for ideas that build community, make people stop and take notice, and reflect the vibe of Somerset.
Some examples:
- An interactive art piece that invites public participation
- A music or dance pop-up at Youth Park
- A storytelling trail or memory board about Somerset
- A photo booth contest around favourite hangouts
- Volunteer drives, mental wellness booths, or thrift corners
What You’ll Get
- Up to $1,000 in funding
- Consultation support from *SCAPE
- Access to space (subject to availability)
- Publicity through *SCAPE channels
- Possible platform to share your story at our Youth Community Network sessions
Note: Grant cannot be used for salaries, overseas travel, or projects not located in the Somerset Belt.
How to Apply?
- Applications are open year-round in 2025, until funding runs out.
- Submit your idea through our online application form
- Receive a confirmation email
- Attend a 1-hour consultation with *SCAPE team
- Refine your plan (objectives, timeline, budget, outreach)
- Get the green light to start!
- Projects must begin within 1 month of approval and finish within 6 months.
