IN (Industry Networking) provides a platform to gather aspiring entrepreneurs, startups and professionals to build connections, exchange ideas and gain insights. Each event is focused on a specific industry.

In its first-ever session, it aims to connect professionals and startups in the education space, by providing them a platform to discuss what the new normal of education and mentorship is going to look like. This session will also allow participants the opportunity to meet like-minded individuals within their industry and make meaningful connections.

There will be a brief roundtable discussion about the global and local trends surrounding education. After, we’ll split  into breakout rooms to deepen the discussion. We’ll look at these questions and more in breakout rooms

Aziza Sheerin leads the Singapore office for General Assembly. She joined GA as the first hire in Singapore in 2015, and is responsible for GA’s market expansion. In her role, she oversees P&L management, strategic partnerships, growth, and leading an awesome team. She leads GA’s partnership efforts with the Singapore government and the broader tech ecosystem to bridge the tech talent gap here. She is passionate about education and economic empowerment; and creating more opportunities in the tech industry for people of diverse backgrounds.

Felix Tan is passionate about youth development and education. As a student entrepreneur, he won the Singapore chapter of the Global Student Entrepreneur Award. Felix also represented Singapore in the global finals of the Startup World Championship in Montreal and is the Silver Awardee of the National Youth Entrepreneur Awards. As a lead trainer at Reactor School, a leading provider of entrepreneurship education to youth from 13 to 24, Felix has clocked over 300 training hours, equipping youths in Southeast Asia with entrepreneurship skills.

Khairul Rusydi lives at the intersection of design, education technology, and youth development. A previous Enterprise Singapore (ESG) scholar, Rusydi consulted for SMEs in the domain of human capital development and business excellence. He has previously served on the board of *SCAPE, and currently serves on the SG Youth Action Panel with the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY). He is an Apple Professional Learning Specialist, is a member of the Institute for HR Professionals (IHRP), and an alumnus of the Temasek Foundation Young Societal Leaders fellowship.

Roy Tan is a passionate educator with five years of teaching experience in a Singapore Secondary School. Motivated by the spirit of innovation and a dream to make learning fun and accessible, Roy left the ministry on Jan 2020 and ventures into entrepreneurship to serve the community from a different position.

Skilio is an education technology startup that measures and tracks soft skills development in youth through its proprietary AI software. Skilio leverages group-based interactions to measure and analyze soft skills competencies of each youth. The Skilio platform has benefited close to 500 students from ages 14 to 24 years old, from various training companies, youth organisations, and schools.
