Revamped *SCAPE to open in November with focus on youth-led programmes. (2025, Jul 01) CNA – Singapore Tonight
Following shifts in youth habits after the COVID-19 pandemic, *SCAPE is refreshing its space to encourage face-to-face interactions and build community belonging. The centre is adding open “white spaces”, expanding event areas, converting former retail spaces into performance, and gathering venues. Rentals are around half compared to other spaces within the area or offering free usage for youth-aligned activities. The upgraded *SCAPE Ground Theatre will double its capacity to 870 seats, and new features include dance studios, workshops, and a K-pop training zone. The refreshed *SCAPE, part of the Somerset Belt youth initiative, will officially reopen in November but is already hosting events.
