Refreshed *SCAPE is set to open in November, focusing on youth-led programmes such as career guidance and community development and engaging with over 30,000 youths and expecting more than 2 million visitors annually.
A 30% increase in spaces are allocated for youths and they are expected to cost around 50% less in rental compared to other spaces within the area. There is a possibility that some of the spaces could be provided for free. Micro-grants are also being made available for youths to take advantage of.
David Chua, Chairman of *SCAPE shared that the rejuvenated *SCAPE is part of the larger Somerset Belt and *SCAPE is a key node for partnerships and programmes. *SCAPE is part of the SG Youth Plan, a five-year blueprint aimed at supporting Singaporean youth.
