Directed by David Frankel and produced by Wendy Finerman, The Devil Wears Prada (2006)—as the title indicates—pretty much sums up the whole movie, which is based on a book. Every role cast is well portrayed and the movie is presented in a highly entertaining way. There is so much going on, giving you so many perspectives on life, relationship, career topics, the pros and cons, ruthless decisions you need to make to climb up to break through. This mad race can drive you to be the best or make you forget your core.

Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep), who is the walking definition of steel fist in a velvet glove, is the demanding editor of a fashion monthly. Anyone who wants to make it in this industry must first get past her—little things could end your career such as a bad haircut. It’s a job that no self-respecting person should take, yet it is an opportunity for millions of young women in New York to kill for.

The film also picks up on its dramatic aspect by throwing in scandal and backstabbing, the perfect recipe for a popular comedy aimed at the widest audience. If you enjoy witty dialogue, over-the-top crying scenes and high-fashion looks, The Devil Wears Prada is definitely worth a watch.
