Elisa Liu 1900x1900

Personal

Elisa Liu is a contemporary visual artist based in Singapore, who works primarily in acrylic paints and texture mediums.

Inspired by her travel experiences and her own South-East Asian upbringing, Elisa fuses both Eastern and Western elements into her art. Through bold colours and textures, she aims to create works that evoke emotions and feelings in people. Her works sit in private collections locally and overseas.

One of Singapore’s emerging artistic talents, Elisa started painting in 2012, and has since shown her works and done live-paintings in Beijing, Taipei and Singapore. She has also been invited to conduct artist talks and workshops in these cities.

Besides creating original artworks, Elisa is also an active contributor to the local and regional arts sector. She is frequently invited by schools and various non-profit organisations to contribute to local community events. Organisations she has worked with include Club Rainbow Singapore, National Gallery Singapore, Xinyuan Community Care, Singapore Association for Mental Health, Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore and Touch Community Services.

Elisa believes that art is a great way of bringing people together and enjoys spreading joy and colours to people’s lives. Currently, she is also working with creatives of other mediums to create interesting multi-disciplinary projects.

Elisa is the producer and visual artist for multi-disciplinary project – ‘Wallflowers SG’, and the producer and co-host for ‘Why Why Why Show’ – a comedy trivia podcast. She is also the founder, producer and mentor for ‘Indie Creative SG’ – a platform connecting aspiring artists and musicians with professional artists and musicians.
