Think you’ve got what it takes to hold a crowd and command the stage with confidence?

The final Own the Mic workshop of 2026 is calling for youths aged 15 – 35 with prior hosting experience who are ready to get out of their comfort zone, think on their feet and own the stage.

Over two intensive days, you will jump into live hosting simulations, real-world scenarios and hands-on exercises designed to build your confidence as an emcee.

Train with professional host and radio DJ Joshua Simon and learn what it takes to keep a crowd engaged even when things do not go according to plan.

SCAPE OWN THE MIC WORKSHOP

Joshua Simon is a familiar voice and face in Singapore’s media scene — a radio DJ, voice actor, podcast host and emcee known for his colourful personality, quick wit, and ability to connect authentically with any audience. Best known for his interviews with the world’s biggest stars from Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds to Katy Perry, Kim Kardashian and Britney Spears; garnering millions of views on YouTube.

With years of experience hosting live shows, entertainment programmes, and large-scale events, Joshua brings a high-energy style that blends professionalism with authenticity. Whether it is engaging a crowd on-air or on stage, he is known for his strong stage presence and natural ability to create memorable experiences.

Joshua understands what it takes to adapt to different audiences, handle unpredictable moments, and firing off thought provoking questions that’ll keep you on the edge of your seat.

At the Own the Mic workshop, Joshua will share from his personal journey, how he went from being a film student to a radio presenter, taking participants behind-the-scenes of his most memorable celebrity interviews. He will guide youths through hands-on practice and applied learning — helping them build confidence, find their voice, and develop a presentation style that feels true to their story.
