This special edition rounds up the first year of The *SCAPE Street Show. Join us for a cosy time at the *SCAPE Plaza on 20 June, with up-and-coming local music talents Jayden Chia and Dawn Yap, as well as rising Malaysian R&B/pop artiste HOW1E who will be making his Singapore debut!

The *SCAPE Street Show is a curated street performance platform that spotlights a diverse range of talents and creative expressions. Featuring everything from live music and circus arts to experimental and boundary-pushing performances, the programme creates opportunities for emerging performers to present their craft in open, accessible public spaces.

Designed to spotlight unique voices and activate public spaces, the initiative offers performers the opportunity to test ideas, connect with live audiences, and contribute to the vibrancy of street culture. Each edition features a small selection of curated acts, encouraging spontaneity, interaction, and creative exchange.

The *SCAPE Street Show invites audiences to experience the energy and diversity of street performance; where tradition meets experimentation, and everyday spaces are reimagined as stages for creative expression.

Jayden Chia

Jayden has loved music for as long as he can remember. He started singing young and joined competitions at 11, but often fell short. Still, music remained his passion and safe space. At 18, he learned guitar, performed at small events, and began writing songs inspired by real-life stories. His goal is to connect with listeners through honest music, like his song “没关系,” based on a friend’s struggle with heartbreak.

Dawn is a bilingual singer-songwriter, busker, and Twitch streamer who experiments across genres to shape a cinematic, story-driven sound. Drawing from personal experiences and shared moments, her work often reflects on fleeting moments and the quiet in-between spaces of everyday life, translating personal experiences into intimate, introspective narratives. With over 10 years of performance experience, Dawn is now focusing on creating and releasing her own music, with her recent single ‘would you fall in love with me?’ surpassing 100,000 streams.

HOW1E (pronounced “Howie”), whose real name is Bah Hao Yi, is a rising Malaysian singer-songwriter blending R&B and pop. Known for his distinctive voice, he explores themes of love, growth, and raw emotion through honest, heartfelt storytelling. While rooted in R&B, his sound draws subtle influence from pop, rock, and indie. Beyond music, HOW1E’s strong visual and emotional sensibility further positions him as one of Malaysia’s most promising new-generation artists.
