Launched by Acting Minister for Culture, Community and Youth David Neo at the X *SCAPE Festival (9 Nov 2025), the mural Tampal/Tampil is conceived as a visual and cultural statement to mark Singapore’s 60th year of independence.
Led by youth curator Zane Motalif, the project includes over 60 graffiti and visual artists creating a unified mural that celebrates Singapore’s creative spirit. In the spirit of Singapore reaching its 60th year of independence, Tampal/Tampil is a celebration of Singapore’s identity reminding us of the roots that continue to shape our shared future.
In global graffiti and street art culture, stickers hold a special role as a medium of exchange. Every major city, from the streets of Paris to community walls worldwide, has its own “sticker hall of fame” where artists mark their presence and connect with others. This project will be the first to highlight this in Singapore.
This mural at *SCAPE is also recognised by the Singapore Book of Records as the largest graffiti art on a building facade in Singapore.
