Whether you’re into video games, tabletop games, creative crafts, or other skill‑based hobbies, this event will let you dive in, try things out, and meet the people who bring these scenes to life.

Smash G

 

Smash G is a vibrant community hub for Super Smash Bros. players in Singapore, offering a welcoming space for enthusiasts of all skill levels. Established in October 2014 as a youth‑led initiative, the group began with small community tournaments and gradually expanded its presence within the local gaming scene. Over the years, Smash G has collaborated with major events such as Campus Game Fest and the Asia Esports Festival, contributing to the growth and visibility of the Super Smash Bros. community. The group organises regular activities, including weekly sessions, monthly tournaments, and other community‑driven events across the entire Smash series, creating consistent opportunities for players to connect, improve, and enjoy the game together.

Yo-Yo Association of Singapore

 

The Yo-Yo Association of Singapore is a vibrant hub for yo-yo lovers across the island, dedicated to promoting yo-yoing not just as a pastime but as a dynamic lifestyle and community activity. They organise everything from casual monthly meet-ups and skill-sharing sessions through local clubs like Throw Revolution and SengKang Yo-yo Crew, to larger events including the Singapore Yo-Yo Championships and participation in regional contests, creating regular opportunities for throwers of all abilities to connect, learn, and showcase their talent. The community is welcoming and inclusive, bringing together people of diverse ages and backgrounds who enjoy practising together, exchanging tips, and celebrating the joy of yo-yoing.

The Trainer Shed

 

The Trainer Shed is a youth-led community of Pokémon enthusiasts in Singapore, focused on the Pokémon Video Game Championships (VGC) and Trading Card Game (TCG). Since 2023, The Trainer Shed has grown into a vibrant space for players to gather, exchange knowledge on current game mechanics, and compete, featuring exciting, themed tournaments, viewing parties and community-led events. The Trainer Shed continues to strive to create a welcoming and supportive environment for both new and seasoned players, fostering friendships and building a stronger Pokémon community in Singapore.

TrailBladers is a Singapore-based Beyblade team and community dedicated to elevating the competitive scene while nurturing a fun, welcoming environment for players of al ages. Bastion HEMA

Bastion HEMA is Asia’s leading authority in medieval fencing and the largest provider of medieval fencing in Asia. At its core, Historical European Martial Arts, commonly known as HEMA, is a revival of martial traditions from Europe. The team brings to life fighting techniques through the meticulous study of medieval manuscripts, and teaches swordsmanship to a growing community here in Singapore.

Aliwal Chess Club

 

Aliwal Chess Club is an unconventional street chess community in Singapore, known for its vibrant and inclusive atmosphere. Founded to bring chess into the heart of the city, the club hosts pop-up meets in culturally rich areas like Kampong Gelam. It collaborates with cafes, cultural institutions, and organizations focused on creative placemaking. With an emphasis on creativity and social interaction, Aliwal Chess Club has organized flagship events, including Singapore’s first World Chess Day celebrations, for the past four consecutive years, making chess accessible and engaging for all.

FightSaber SG

 

FightSaber SG is the premier Lucasfilm-recognized lightsaber performance organization, and authority on lightsaber combat in Southeast Asia. As a non-profit fan group who perform at pop culture conventions, charity events and Star Wars events, it aims to bring high action, kinesthetic performances and re-enactments of lightsaber duels from the Star Wars movies to the masses, to promote greater appreciation for stage choreography as a dramatic and theatrical art form. Members of FightSaber SG are bonded by a common appreciation for the movies, costuming and a love for the performing arts.

LARP Singapore Community (LSC)

 

The LARP Singapore Community (LSC) is the main hub for Live Action Role‑Playing (LARP) in Singapore, supporting a growing scene centered on creativity and collaborative storytelling. LARP involves players creating characters, shaping scenarios, and acting out stories in real time with costumes, props, and dialogue. As a community‑run group, LSC connects players and organisers, and helps facilitate local LARP events and experiences. Their members come from diverse backgrounds, and the community emphasises an inclusive, welcoming environment for anyone interested in exploring the hobby.

ITECC Plamo Club

 

The ITECC Plamo Club is a student‑centric miniature scale hobby club based in ITE College Central. They are passionate about building and crafting miniature worlds with their hands. They have participated in and won awards at the Malaysian International Miniature Hobby Show, Gunpla Builders World Cup (GBWC), and Military Hobby Fest by SAFRA. Their club aims to unleash students’ creativity across diverse genres, including military, gunpla, vehicles, and figures. Connect with fellow enthusiasts who share the passion and are eager to exchange tips and ideas. Join them to explore, learn, and create a supportive and inspiring environment towards mastering the art of scale modeling, and make new friends along the way!

Coffeetable Fingerboards

 

Coffeetable Fingerboards aims to bring fingerboarders together through community events. With homemade fingerboarding obstacles and a strong passion for the hobby, they recently held a community event alongside Kopistan at Haji Lane for seasoned fingerboarders and newbies to come together. With the constant growth of their community, Coffeetable Fingerboards is something to look out for!
