Joey Cheng, Popper/Business Development Manager, Association of Small & Medium Enterprises
Joey started her dance journey at the age of 14 through contemporary dance before she was formally introduced to hip-hop via her school club, Temasek Polytechnic (TP) Dance Ensemble at the age of 18. Being exposed to many different genres of street dance styles such as House, Locking, and Breaking, she fell in love with Popping and have been pursuing it actively through the years by joining battles, and learning from the many top Poppers overseas. Some of her achievements include being the Singapore representative in the World Finals held in Taiwan (2014) and Australia (2018) and also representing Southeast Asia as a crew in South Korea back in 2017. She is intrinsically motivated at pushing herself to the best through hard work and sacrifice and is a strong believer of staying humble and having an open mind to what all the street styles can bring for her own dance.

Elly (Moderator)
I am Eleanor, better known as Elly. I am 25 this year, pursuing a career as a freelance dance fitness instructress. My passion for dance, specifically Hip-Hop, began when in secondary school. I joined Danz People and eventually became part of D’Elements, the studio’s junior crew. In polytechnic, I was also given the opportunity to be president of Style Groovaz Crew, from then on, I have participated in recitals under Recognize Studios and joined battles/showcases under TXM (Team Xiaomei). Fast forward 3 years, I’ve decided to impact lives and build communities through dance fitness, engaging people through music and movement.
