Are you an aspiring game developer, designer, or just passionate about games? Whether you’re looking to build your first prototype, pitch your game like a pro, or break into the games industry, the Up Your Game Workshop Series is here to help you level up. 

Organised as part of the Re:Play Festival 2025, these workshops are tailored to equip youth with industry-relevant skills, insights, and connections to take their game development journey to the next stage.

Saturday | 7 June 2025 | 2:00PM – 5:00PM
Game Design: Bring Your Art to Life
In this session you will learn how to bring your fun and crazy game ideas to life, including processes such as ideation, prototyping, and playtesting. 
About the Facilitator: Jedidiah Siah
Jedidiah is a game designer, gamification consultant, and an artist who has experimented with multiple game-related mediums: tabletop, digital, educational, game shows, and gamification. He has worked with various communities including indies, public service agencies, museums, and immersive experience spaces.

Perfecting the Pitch: Presenting Your Game to the World 
In this session gain first-hand knowledge on how to pitch your games successfully to publishers, investors and other cool folks. From the elevator pitch to the longform business deck, level up your pitch game with this session. Also included is a fireside chat where you can get your burning questions answered and discuss different approaches. 
About the Facilitator: Shawn Toh
Shawn Toh is an award-winning Game Designer and Creative Director of BattleBrew Productions and a repeat-winner across different games at the Big Indie Pitch, and also a winner of GDC Summer Pitch and Gamescom Asia’s Best Game Pitch.

Launching Your Career in the Game Industry 
This session is perfect for job seekers or fresh graduates passionate about launching a career in the game industry. Equip yourself with the essential tools and strategies to stand out in a competitive job market. Participants will learn how to craft resumes and portfolios, tailor their applications to specific roles in the game industry, and navigate the recruitment process. 
About the Facilitator: Teo Kah Hui 
Kah Hui is the Portfolio Director at Keywords Studios with over 17 years of experience in the games industry. She serves on the Keywords Studios Global Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging Council and is the Director of Women in Games Asia Chapter. Previously an Advisor and Exco member of the Singapore Games Association, she also lectures part-time at NTU and collaborates with academic institutions across Singapore, China, and the UK.
