As an entrepreneur, what is it that motivates and drives you?
It is because of people. I believe everyone is creative and everyone can make a difference.
These values drive me to get out of bed everyday and I am inspired by the change and transformation that impacts our community: staff, clients, stakeholders. They inspire and motivate me.
What would you say are the key elements for starting and running a successful business?
- Knowing WHY we start the business.
WHY is the vision that the startup aims to achieve. It should address the gap or needs that has not met and bringing goodness to the community. It is also closely connected to the founder’s aspiration and values in life.
- Knowing HOW to address the gap.
HOW is the path or the way that the entrepreneurs choose to address the gap. It is usually addressing the gap or opportunities found in the current services or products.
- Knowing WHAT does the consumer truly need not blindly follow what they want.
WHAT is the tangible output of HOW. It can be an innovation, methodology, processes, products or services.
How do you think you can help the youth entrepreneurs at *SCAPE?
- Guiding them to find their true purpose of entrepreneurship
- Facilitating them on the process of Ideation and execution
- Evaluating their ideas with real market / consumer knowledge
- Referring them to my pool of networks and associates
- Advising them on their branding, marketing, advertising, design
