The busking residency programme is a joint collaboration between *SCAPE and Buskers’ Association (Singapore) to introduce and develop budding artists across multiple disciplines into the world of street busking.

Residents will be assigned to mentors, who are experienced industry practitioners, and will develop their skill sets and capabilities as a performer and street busker through the 4-month residency programme.

What you can look forward to:

• Be introduced to the fundamentals of a good busking performance
• Learn how to display your craft and dazzle an audience on the street, with guidance from an experienced mentor
• Gain valuable busking experience through practical busking sessions
• Connect and network with fellow buskers in the local busking scene

Residency Eligibility

• Individuals & Groups are welcome to apply
• The residency is open to youths aged 18-34 years old only
  • A group would be eligible if at least 50% of its members fulfill the youth requirement
  • However, any acceptance of participants outside the ages of 18-34 will be solely up to the committee’s discretion
• Only Singaporeans/Permanent Residents are eligible to apply
• Applicants must have a basic understanding of their performance skillset
• Applicants must commit to the full duration of the residency
