The inaugural Youth Music Awards (26 January 2019)

The inaugural Youth Music Awards (YMA) celebrates, honours, and sustains Made-in-Singapore music. Through this awards show, *SCAPE recognises the extraordinary achievements and contributions of local musicians. The awards ceremony on 26 January 2019 presented 13 awards to deserving artists. We hope to not only recognise the achievements of Singapore’s youth talents, but to also develop and handshake these remarkable artists to industry players to propel their careers to the next level.

*SCAPE Invasion Festival: Back To School (12 January 2019)

*SCAPE Invasion Festival: Back To School is the annual homecoming music festival that celebrates all Made-in-Singapore music. Wrapping up last year’s year-long *SCAPE Invasion Tour around our little red dot, the *SCAPE Invasion Festival presents some of the touring acts combined on one stage, with various fringe activities that feature other Singaporean home-grown talents in F&B and crafts.

 *SCAPE Radikal Forze Jam (9 to 17 March 2019)

*SCAPE Radikal Forze Jam (*SCAPE RF JAM), held between 9 to 17 March 2019, is the biggest independent international hip-hop dance festival in Asia. The dance festival comprises a dance convention (Summer Jam Dance Camp) and battle competitions. *SCAPE RF JAM is part of a bigger worldwide culture and industry of not only dance enthusiasts, but also dance tourists, dance business owners, artists, and athletes.

*SCAPE Indie Series (25 May 2019)

*SCAPE Indie Series presents multiple performances by aspiring musicians in the local music scene. Inclusivity being one of its fronting aims, this is a collaboration effort with independent music labels in Singapore. The first *SCAPE Indie Series was held on 25 May 2019 and the line-up included Canvas Conversations x Coldcut Quartet and Bakers In Space x Shak’thiya.

National Youth Film Awards Conference (29 to 31 March 2019)

The National Youth Film Awards (NYFA) Conference aims to create an inclusive community by bridging the different levels of young film enthusiasts through talks, workshops, and masterclasses to drive education and exposure to the filmmaking industry.

*SCAPEmedia Talent Development Programme

The *SCAPEmedia Talent Development Programme is a series of specially curated workshops, panel discussions, and masterclasses in screenwriting, acting, directing, photography and post-production, designed to equip youths with the right skills to hone their craft and plenty of opportunities to network with industry professionals.

Meet The Masters: Leaders in the Age of Disruptive Innovation (12 January 2019)

This panel discussion brings together four established youth entrepreneurs and industry leaders in a conversation about how businesses have been shaped by disruptive innovations.

*SCAPE HubQuarters Fellowship Demo Day (24 April 2019)

Held on 24 April 2019, the *SCAPE HubQuarters Fellowship Demo Day is the graduation day for our 21 startup teams who participated through our 6-months Fellowship journey. During this demo day, there was a sharing by the various stakeholders of the startup ecosystem on how they came together to play their role in the network. This was followed by 10 teams who pitched to 8 panellists, of which 2 are grant providers and 6 are investors. The event concluded with a networking session, whereby teams exchanged namecards with the relevant stakeholders whom they feel may be of relevance to their next phase of growth.

Esports Community Rallies (Every Month)

*SCAPEesports’ Community Rallies welcomes esports enthusiasts to mingle with like-minded community members, improve their skills, and have an awesome and fun time. The three game titles that anchors the rallies include FIFA, League of Legends and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.

To kickoff the *SCAPEesports Exposure & Xperience Programme 2019 (EXP2019), specially curated 3D2N esports camps held in June provided youth with a platform and safe space to foster social mixing within the esports communities, and to encourage unity and competitiveness in esports-centric activities at *SCAPE as well as a focus adventure in Sentosa.
