Are you a young game developer, designer, or creative with a passion for games? Here’s your chance to share your work with the wider community! 

Re:Play Festival 2025 is looking for youth creators (aged 16–35) to be part of our Youth Game Showcase: a dedicated platform to spotlight original, youth-driven games, prototypes, and playable experiences. 

We’re looking for: 

  • Independent or student-made digital or tabletop games 
  • Game prototypes or works-in-progress 
  • Interactive storytelling, immersive or experimental play experiences 
  • Projects from youth game studios, collectives, school groups, or individuals 

Why Showcase? 

  • Present your game to a live audience of gamers, creators, and industry professionals 
  • Gain valuable exposure, feedback, and networking opportunities 
  • Be featured as part of Singapore’s youth gaming and esports festival

  • Venue: *SCAPE Playspace 
  • Dates: 1 – 3 Aug

Re:Play Youth Game Showcase 2025 Rules 

1. Eligibility 

Re:Play Youth Game Showcase 2025 is open to any Singaporean or PR ages 16-35 years old (before 31st December 2025) residing in Singapore during the time of submission. 

*SCAPE reserves the right to verify and confirm each Applicant’s compliance with eligibility requirements. The Applicant may be required to submit further information to assist in the verification of eligibility. 

2. How to Enter 

  • Work alone or in a team 
  • All registrants (including team members) are required to join *SCAPE Discord server. 

3. Submission Details 

You may submit a digital game, or tabletop/card/board game prototype. 

Submission must include: 

  • Your game files 
  • A front cover or poster of your game  
  • Please ensure that google drive sharing settings is set to “Anyone can view” 

Please ensure 3rd party assets are legal to use. *SCAPE will NOT be responsible if any team breaches copyright terms of asset usage. 

Game Type Requirements
Digital Game 
  • Submissions MUST be playable in the browser and/or an .exe.  
  • Game must be in a playable state with no major game-crashing bug 
  • Game Engines for consideration: 
  • Unity 
  • Unreal Engine 
  • GameMaker 
  • RPGMaker 
  • No limitation to Game Engine used 
  • A gameplay video of at least 1 minute highlighting the game  
  • Instructions or written tutorial on how to play the game 
  • Any notes about handling any technical issues 
Tabletop / Board / Card Game 
  • The physical game itself i.e. boards, cards, tokens, rulebook, etc. 
  • You will also need to submit the following in a neatly organised Google Drive folder: 
  • The ruleset of the game (on how to write one, you can use this guide) 
  • A gameplay video of 3 – 5 minutes showcasing its core gameplay (Good video-editing won’t hurt, though clarity is of priority!) 
  • Digital print-friendly version of all your game components (e.g. playing pieces, tokens, cards, game board etc) 
  • Remember to set the Google Drive link sharing settings to “Anyone can view”  

Submissions must comply with the requirements set out in the Terms and Conditions. Any and all costs incurred for Re:Play 2025 are to be borne by the participants. 

*SCAPE reserves the right to determine, in its sole discretion, which entries have satisfied the entry requirements and to disqualify any Submission it believes is not consistent with the spirit and theme of the festival. 

4. Selection Process 

Organising team will be judging the submission base on a few criteria 

  • Design and user experience (UX) 
  • Art and aesthetic 
  • Completeness of the game 
  • Originality of the idea 

5. Showcase 

A minimum of 12 games will be selected for showcase during the 3-day event at Re:Play 2025 (1 – 3 August 2025), *SCAPE Playspace. At least one (1) representative MUST be present during the showcase, you may take shifts within your team. 

Game Type Requirements
Digital Game 
  • A booth with power point will be provided on the day of the event. You’ll require to bring your own laptop to demonstrate your game prototype. 
  • Set up of your showcase will happen on 26th July 2024, please ensure that you and/or your team are available the day before to ensure that your game is running smoothly before the event 
  • All cost incurred to be borne by participants.
Tabletop / Board / Card Game 
  • Please prepare your physical playable prototype or completed game for live demonstration and explanation.
  • All cost incurred to be borne by participants.

Up Your Game Finalists Showcase 

After 8 weeks of intense ideation, prototyping, and mentorship, the Up Your Game mentees are ready to reveal their game prototypes, and YOU are invited to come play! 

Step into the Youth Game Showcase and explore fresh, playable titles crafted by passionate youth game developers. This showcase is the exciting culmination of the Up Your Game mentorship programme, where participants received hands-on guidance from two of Singapore’s most respected game creators: 

  • Shawn Toh – Co-Founder & CEO, BattleBrew Productions
    A veteran designer with 14 years of experience, Shawn has worked with Ubisoft, Nubee, Gumi, and the SUTD Game Lab before founding BattleBrew Productions. 
  • Xuanming “XM” Zhou – Indie Game Developer, aliasBLACK
    With 16 years in the industry and 15 published titles, XM has led design teams at Paradox Interactive and Boomzap Entertainment, and taught game design at NTU. 

These projects are the culmination of their journey through the Up Your Game mentorship programme, where they worked alongside industry mentors to bring their visions to life.
