Xuehui

XueHui

A performer who turned professional at the tender age of seventeen when she was scouted by the founders of O School. Xuehui brings a distinct youthful vibrance that never fails to captivate the audience. She is an experienced competitor who has won many accolades to her name, through her lively spontaneity at dance battles and dynamic energy at showcases. Also a dance educator with a heart for her students, Xuehui exudes energy and passion, inspiring her students to pursue their dreams with boldness.

In 2020, she co-founded Stirring Ground aiming to design mentorship programs that serve to equip dancers through the process of exploration and creation. She believes old keys will never open new doors and dance is the vessel for self discovery. Beyond the aesthetics, or the spirit of an athlete, being attuned to what stirs up our hearts, allowing ourselves to emote through motion, is the highest form of art that may stir hearts.

Michelle

Michelle aka Sista Beast (Full Name: Michelle Ang)

Michelle is an educator/dancer specializing in a dance style, Krump. She is the founder of Singapore’s Krump community, Roar City Grounds. She is also an active member of “The Beast Camp”, an international dance group based in LA.

She fell in love with the intensity and power of Krump. Krump’s aggressive nature forced her to face her fears and doubts within herself, allowing her to believe she isn’t powerless; giving her the power to share, heal and inspire with others.

In her practice she realizes that many are afraid to acknowledge or confront power. It is often seen with a negative notion rather than a positive driving force. Through her past 11 years, most of her students would testify how they have changed their negative view after learning how to embrace and unlock their own power through Krump movements.

Michelle desires to question, challenge and build different approach towards power. She hopes to encourage everyone (dancers and non-dancers) to see that power is a beautiful force, it may be scary and destructive but it also can heal and create.

“Only with power, change can happen”

Subas

Subastian Tan

Subastian leads Project Kinaesthesia, which encourages collaborations across disciplines in street art to share stories and provide a safe space for conversation and introspection. He believes in finding the interconnectivity across disciplines, and using that as a tool to understand and articulate stories about ourselves, people around us and the spaces we exist in.

When he isn’t dancing, he’s drinking tea, watching anime and coming up with social content for his clients at That Marketing Guy.
