EMJ is a sensational conversationalist whose energy emanates in her hosting. Personal connection is at the forefront of her communication, be it one-on-one in her social life or with an audience. She is sure to read the room and facilitate a flow in dialogue or events. Having grown up without a TV, her favourite memory from childhood is memorizing all the radio commercials she heard throughout the day, then reciting it to her parents after a long day’s work. On a weekly basis, she facilitates a group discussion on life topics.
Aside from using her voice, her literacy skills have been evident from the get-go. In school, she was the best in English and literature: the main candidate in speech and essay competitions. She gained even more experience when she started interviewing people and writing articles for a mission’s magazine. Thus, leading her to be the main writer of her company’s circulars.
As a Digital Communications student, she has had an 8 year head start as part of her church’s/voluntary creative team. From flyers, booklets to website design, she has done it all. She continues to better herself academically as she works toward her dream of journalism in this ever evolving landscape of digital media.
