Kass

Personal

Kassandra graduated from the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London in 2016 where she developed an interest in speculative fiction and honed her craft in designing narratives and spatial dimensions using time-based media. Her debut short film Season of Aeon, where she transformed a cargo ship into a fashion set and staged the world’s largest fashion spectacle using handcrafted dioramas premiered at the 11th La Jolla International Fashion Film Festival in 2020. It received 6 nominations and she became the first Singapore filmmaker to win Best Picture at the festival.

Her ability to translate her creative vision into reality extends beyond the realm of filmmaking. In 2018, she collaborated with a team of architects and bakers and won the Great Architectural Bake-off with a totally edible rendition of the Prada store in Tokyo Aoyama. In 2020, she was selected by SCAPE to collaborate with a modern qipao designer based in Chengdu for Taobao Maker Festival, and curated a photography series to juxtapose the designer’s new collection against the endearing backdrops in Singapore. Her passion in making things and making things happen has motivated her to venture across multiple disciplines of art to discover new synergies. She is currently pursuing a Diploma in Fashion Technology while living her dream to shape the future cityscape of Singapore as an Urban Planner.
